    Worked in several multidisciplinary teams in waterfall and scrum. Responsibilities were very diverse: requirements gathering, giving quick estimates on build hours, creating precise work scoping, functional design, technical design, monitoring projects progress, informing management and stakeholders, plan and coordinate a team of four middleware and Java developers.

    Worked in an cross country scrum team which connected 20 CRM systems across Europe, Middle East and Northern America through Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Service Bus.
    Responsibilities were: Building SOA Suite and Service Bus projects to specification, challenge specifications and requirements, problem solving, Acceptance (UAT) support, Production support, building custom adapters for back-end systems.

    Also helped in several task forces for problem solving as well as performance tuning of Oracle middleware and Weblogic server running on Linux.

    Retail sector (based in Milan, Italy)
    Served as middleware developer on integration project for 8 different back-end CRM and Order Management systems over four continents and a Hybris front end running several localized websites for the same retail supplier.
    Services were realized through Oracle Service Bus between several CRM systems and the Hybris E-Commerce platform.

    Writing functional and technical designs for a Geo Information System based on Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and spatial functions, next to that through optimizing SQL queries I realized several real time management HTML reports which used to take two hours query time and used to be made in Excel.

    R15 was my own company which developed websites based on JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and Apache which mimicked desktop applications. Thus removing the need for expensive computers and licenses.
    I've created Intranet sites for order management, invoice management, work planning, optimizing work schedules and resource management.
    Next to that I created a Content Management System (CMS) which was sold to several local businesses.

    Ordina

    Ordina offered an Oracle Enterprise Service Bus internship with the possibility to write our thesis on the subject of Service Oriented Architecture to conclude my studies at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
    We used Oracle Enterprise Service Bus to connect three Oracle database servers during the internship.
    After the internship was concluded we were offered a job as SOA developers which I took during the summer months.

    Mountains of the Moon University, Uganda

    The Mountains of the Moon University in Fort Portal, Uganda offered an internship where I created an internet cafe based on open source software and running on Linux computers.
    Responsibilities:
    - Sysadmin for Ubuntu Linux servers, proxy / file server / antivirus / email
    - Program a low maintenance solution for the internet cafe
    - Teaching GNU/Linux basics to a class of Information Technology students

    Wezo NV

    At Wezo NV I served as an administrator on Microsoft Windows and Digital Unix. Daily duties were monitoring the IT landscape and serving as back-up for the application focal points.
    Projects:
    Upgrade of MS Exchange Server

    Simplifying and creating a more robust IT landscape
    Responsibilities:
    - Microsoft and Unix Server / Workstation system administration on three locations

  • Junior System Engineer2001 - 2002

    AAC Cosmos

    AAC Cosmos delivered a package solution including several workstations and a Windows server for internet cafés. These packages took about one week to install completely, I've streamlined these package installs to take 4 hours and automating almost every task.
    The tools used were multicast imaging software, advanced Windows scripting and making use of the custom administration options when installing windows.
    Next to that I gave support for field engineers who placed these packages throughout the Netherlands.
